Infirmary Gets Light Fixtures and Paint
Posted by phil
The new infirmary at Boys Camp is nearing completion, with electrical fixtures like heating and lighting being installed recently with fans are in each of the bedrooms. Also, hardwood flooring is down in the bedrooms, and the vinyl flooring is down in the nurse station and sick bay area. Water has been hooked up to the building now, which is an all important necessity. In order to do this, a large trench was dug in the middle of the lake road. It has since been covered back up, but for a few days, people walking around the lake had to detour over the middle green. From here, the new infirmary will be hooked up to the power lines, and sod will be put down on the bare soil surrounding the building.

An end to the death virus!!
well. the end of an era. the new guys won’t know the terror of a 50’s era hospital look.
Ahh, but the central staff will be living in the “Old Infirmary” … lucky!
Oh my goodness….that is awesome! I did not know this was going to happen,I am out of the loop. Will the nurses get to sleep here, too? It will be more like the girls infirmary but taking care of boys and not girls….PTL!!!!! I am excited about what God has in store this summer. He is so good! Do you all need anything to complete the infirmary?
Yes! The Nurses all have individual rooms, very nice! Yes, you will enjoy this new addition to camp!
ooohhhh … the days of the WW2 looking orphanage rows of little metal beds are gone… One time I was supposed to get something in there and the sun had just gone down and I could’ve sworn (aside from the fact that I felt like I was in a abandonded 1940’s orphanage) I was sure that any minute “that pale girl in the white dress” was going to be standing at the end of the rows of lonley little beds. That place had some interesting vibes … haha. But thats what made CR a blast.
We just started the “face lift” with the old infirmary’s inside. It already has started to feel more comfortable and cabin like. I think the central staff are gonna like what they see…
Josh, That pale little girl in the white dress was actually Nurse Agatha’s neice who died of polio in 1938. Many a sick camper would report seeing her carrying a latern up and down the aisle at night. I always thought they were hallucinating…..till I saw her with my own eyes. Why do you think Nurse Nancy holes herself up in her room at night with her fan roaring at full speed???? Hot flashes my foot.
