Lower Tribe Cabins get an Upgrade!

Posted by Karah

Renovations began Monday on the new cabins in Apache and Shawnee. A six man team was able to dismantle three of the buildings down to their walls and studs in one day, finishing cabins one and two before mid-day. The crew spent the next two days finishing Apache circle as well as the SALT cabin and cabins five through eight on Shawnee hill. Once the roofs and rafters have been removed from all the cabins, the remodeling will begin. The project focuses primarily on improving the structural integrity of the cabins as well as over-all appearance. While the cabins will look almost identical from the exterior, the interior will be dramatically improved while keeping our rustic feel. Stay posted because the next few weeks will be incredibly exciting as the cabins are built. (Interested in helping us complete this Cabin Restoration Project? 1. You know how i feel about this.. but it is good to see it is going well.. can’t we just leave cabin 2 as it was..

    1. it is going well. these updates should increase the structural integrity to prevent the cabins from having to be torn down and completely re-built. the more we look at the cabins, the more certain we are that these updates need to happen.

  2. I dunno about this renovation….they look a little drafty. Actually, this is long overdue. Glad to see progress, I will visit sometime soon and see it for myself.
