Retro Friday: Morning Watch

Posted by phil

Although Camp Ridgecrest has received a number of “face lifts” in many areas over the years, this is one area that has been the bedrock of this place…  hearing about the life of Jesus and what it looks like to follow Him, has always been the focus here at Camp. We hope that this picture, or some version of it, looks very familiar to our campers and staff over the last 80 years.

  1. Such simplicity of statement
    was bundled, incumbent
    in naming that time
    just after breakfast
    “Morning Watch”.

    Our bellies well filled
    after joy had in Spillman

    It was time give consider
this dawned cusp of our day
and how best to bring it to warming.

    There carry with us
    we fellow Ridgecresters
that time of the muse of the morning
was followed by fullment of day.

  2. My firsts at camp were this : paniylg gaga , blobbing (is that what you call it ?) , spending time with my best friend WITHOUT our parents around , mud hike , had chapel every day at camp , rope swing , sing so many different songs , and , most importantly , feel so good about myself . Man , I love camp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
